Frequently asked questions
Do I need tax returns for business vehicle finance?
Not always. Some low-doc policies use alternative evidence, while full-doc, larger or more complex applications may require tax returns and financial statements.
How many months of bank statements are required?
It varies by lender and product. Prepare recent business banking, but only provide the period actually required for the selected assessment pathway.
Can I apply before choosing the exact vehicle or equipment?
Indicative assessment may sometimes be possible, but settlement generally requires acceptable asset and supplier details.
Will a lender ask for BAS?
Possibly. BAS is commonly used as supporting evidence in some self-employed applications, but it is not universal.
